With two new console chapters of the franchise freshly on store shelves, Ubisoft has acquired full rights to Far Cry, as well as a perpetual license to the Far Cry version of Crytek Studio’s CryENGINE.

The agreement, which Ubisoft announced Thursday morning, gives the French company full rights to all things Far Cry — including developing new sequels, add-ons, and other branded products.
