Bonez Adventures: Tomb of Fulaos

GameTunnel, a site dedicated to unearthing the homegrown genuinity of independent gaming, has written an in-depth game review of what can only be described as a mish-mash of Indiana Jones and James Bond called Bonez Adventures: Tomb of Fulaos.

GameTunnel writes:

Bonez: Tomb of Fulaos is an interesting take on a genre that has faded over the years. Back in the day, Sierra had revolutionized the point-and-click adventure. Sadly though, over the years adventure games were over-run by the mass abundance of other, more popular, genres. However, Tomb of Fulaos is a satisfactory, if not an over-worthy, attempt at rekindling the point-and-click experience.

If anything, it’s worth a look, especially if you’re a fan of RPG, puzzle and adventure games.

  1. I can’t figure out how to leave the first area with the 3 caves and a truck. i’ve found 2 hidden tombs, solved the jigsaw puzzle and found a few other things. I’m at wits end, doesn’t look like there is anything left to find and i’m stuck. thanx for any help

  2. Travis,

Sorry, I can’t help you with your problem. Wondering if you could help with mine. I can’t get past the first secret door itself. After the game starts, you know a mummy is found and Dr. Roderson leaves to get a new permission. After that, you pick up items a desk, oil flask, whickey, gun & ammo, you’ll find a secret door inside the second room. How do you open this secret door ? I just can’t get it open !

I’d apprecite any response in this regard.

    TIA.

  3. well there’s 2 secret caves, one in each of the other 2 pits. you need to get a bucket of rubble and put it on the elevator and hoist it to the top of the first pit. you will have to use the “oil” to repair the elevator. Once you get the bucket of rubble up top place it on the sifting screen at the top of the pit. you will find parts of an item that are presented as a jigsaw puzzle. complet the puzzle and use this item to open the secret door.
Glad to see i’m not the only one playing this game. Let me know if you figure anything else out.

  4. Thank you so much, Travis,

I never imagined that I would get a response to my question ! Yep, as you know, there’re hardly few guys ever playing this game. Hours of googling didn’t turn up anything useful. ALl the results pointed to the demo download. Acting upon the valuable hints provided by you, I managed to get to the underground zone where the real adventure begins. I guess I took the guys word for it when, he says “I’m stuck here. It’s probably full of sand” when you click on the lever to pull the lift seat up. Thinking, I shouldn’t worry about the sand bucket, I was looking around for something else.

Well, having managed to get into the real adventure, I’d a problem where, the attack hotkey simply wouldn’t work. This happens everytime you pick up some potion or other item. I had to remove the weapon from the left box on the inventory and put it back in. Then, the game got really pathetic, I’d to shoot 2-3 bullets at each of the rats and 3-4 bullets at each of the bats !! It takes only one bullet to bring down a human being for f***’s sake !! A rat taking three bullets while, the health meter drops down with every second that passes.

You know, I was disappointed, annoyed and got pissed up by this game and uninstalled it. I have sworn in never to play this game again !

Thanks again for your help, Travis. At least, I could uninstall the game instead of letting it remain on my system in a hope that someday I’d be able to play this game !! :-))
