... and it is now 20mins until 6pm (3pm PST) and all servers are still down. Blizzard still has severe connectivity issues, including realm lag, authentication server going down alot, or lagging severely.

The website is next to unreachable (8mins to load the realm status page)

I'm anticipating the new weather effects to make the lag problems worse. They can't seem to get a handle on the lag problems even though they're taking in huge amounts of money.

I did quite a bit on the test server with 1.10.

Now that said, the good sides are the weather effects are nice eye candy, and I have to say do make some more sense in some of the zones.

The final destination is kind of nice, but some of the flight paths do need to be fixed. A for instance is Horde Kargath to Tarren Mill, it routes you all the way up to UC then down to TM, not the smartest thing in the world, it does not take you in UC though. Also, you still get charged for the flight. Using the Kargath to TM, you get charged for Kargath to UC, then charged for UC to TM, in mid flight no less.

As to the servers coming up, they finally came up for me at about midnight eastern.

Now, for those that use mods, take note, most all of them are fubared. It seems that Blizzard made a lot of changes to combat bots and easy macros, which I applaud, though following a bot around can be quite fun. Now anyone with a pet though gets a royal messing. It seems that pets now have to have the attack commands manually input, they will no longer use their abilities automatically. This also affects if the pet is fighting something and it gets stopped/taken over (Mind Control, Sleep, Shackle...) the pet no longer stops attacking. I do not believe that it was the default interface that did this, I may be wrong, but it is something to me that could be quite a play killer for me with the game.

All in all the 1.10 patch does look nice, but short sighted of Blizzard. As if Silth wasn't hit hard enough when the gates opened, now it will be farmed/hit twice over. The quest line for the .5 tier set requires farming (at first I know, not sure about the latter parts of the quest) in Silth, and reputation, and the 25 agility to two-handed requires Essence of Air, only place I know of that drops it at all is in Silth. I certainly hope the server rooms are well air conditioned, but expect some booms.

Personally I am waiting for the mods to be updated and see how much functionality is lost before I make any (more) decisions on 1.10.
