This is an interesting concept… I think? TMSGames - who as far as I’m aware are an unproven development studio - are developing an MMO strictly for mature audiences. There’s scant information available at present although a FAQ has just been released on the game’s official site.

With all the different MMO’s on the market, 90% of them fit into either a Fantasy or Sci-Fi genre. While there are a few that are different, we feel that it’s time for something new and completely fresh. Exanimus is the first step into a new market that we hope to jumpstart with this title. Besides, everyone loves Zombies!

Everyone loves zombies… indeed. Well, while zombie themed games in themselves are nothing new I think it’s good that a young studio is attempting a fresh assault on the MMO market. Time will tell if they succeed, but I can’t help but think that if the big guns with limitless financing and the Holy Grail of film licenses can screw things up (Star Wars Galaxies, I’m looking at you), then it’s going to be an uphill struggle for these relatively inexperienced guys. Though having said that, maybe a smaller studio will be more in touch with its players, who knows? I wish them every success though and I’ll report back if there’re any developments.
