According to a research report by Worcester Polytechnic Institute states that gamers are better the higher the framerates are. To most gamers, it states the rather blatant obvious, that higher framerates gives better tracking abilities, better aim, etc. Sluggish framerates can be frustrating, which is why us PC gamers do the upgrade dance at least once a year, especially when a huge blockbuster game is about to come out.
An interesting thing is that they state that higher resolutions doesn’t have an effect on your gaming skills, or experience. I wanted to disagree with that, but the more I thought about it, the more I agree. Think about it, have you ever installed an old game and still enjoyed it, even though it can’t run higher than 640×480?
